You didn’t find the information needed?
Please check the FAQ below.
It allows the couples to tailor-made their symbolic ceremony to suit their style.
The most important thing is flexibility. You can get married anywhere you want and have the Wedding Ceremony tailored to you as a couple. It is also more personal unless you know your religious leader extremely well.
Please read the blog “Why choose a wedding celebrant?” for more information about this question.
I’m a native Dutch and fluent in English. Additionally, I’ve lived and worked for some time in Germany. With this background I can perform your Wedding ceremony in; Dutch, English and the German language.
Once you have booked your venue you should start to look for your Wedding Celebrant, as the good ones do get booked early. It gives me the time to prepare for your ceremony. So don’t wait till the very last moment.
In a word, no.
However, they are a lovely expression of your promises to each other. I highly recommend having your personalized vows at your wedding. To enhance the impact of your lovely words on your partner, I suggest not to share your vows until the final moment during the ceremony.
And of course, I will provide lots of samples for you to take inspiration from. It is always much easier to edit others’ work.
Please read the blog “Is your vow the new love letter?” for more information.
No. If you can it’s awesome, but you may be too nervous on the day and you can repeat them after me or read them to each other from my folder. Honestly! I haven’t met any wedding couple that memorized their vows.
Your ceremony can be as long or as short as you want it to be! I will listen to your requests so the ceremony reflects who you are as a couple. A typical wedding ceremony takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
But I suggest having the whole wedding ceremony being performed within 45 minutes. Any longer will take a toll on your family and friends. They are out there is the son, watching you!
Take into account that bringing a second language into the ceremony has its impact on the length of the ceremony.
Yes! You do receive a Wedding Certificate as a reminder of your symbolic wedding.
The certificate you receive on the wedding day is a keepsake only. You will be required to sign certificates with the witnesses aged over 18 years old.
You can read more information about your wedding certificate in the blog “do I receive a wedding certificate?”
Yes! I will adjust the ceremony to include your family and friends. The timing will be done in a way that we do not lose the momentum of the Wedding ceremony.
Please note, that bringing in other parties into the ceremony will have an impact on the ceremony length.
Yes! I will show up at any location of your choice?
However, some locations can have restrictions by local authorities. I strongly suggest you always consult a Wedding planner to plan your wedding location. This to prevent any disappointments.
As your Wedding Celebrant, I usually stand in the middle of you with the Groom on my left and the Bride on my right. This way you can look at each other and hold hands especially if you are nervous!
Yes, that’s the whole goal of hiring a wedding celebrant. I will provide lots of samples for you to take inspiration from. It is always much easier to edit others’ work.
Together we make sure you end up with stunning personal vows for your wedding ceremony. Please read the blog article I wrote specifically about this topic “Is your personal vow the new love letter?”
Absolutely! I strongly recommend it for my custom-designed ceremonies. This initial meeting usually takes place during your first visit to Crete during which you visit the wedding location.
Or we meet via Skype in the event you are not able to meet me in Crete.
The initial meeting is free, and there is no pressure to book me. I want couples to be able to meet with me in a stress-free environment where they can make a good evaluation.
Also, this meeting gives me a chance to make sure that I can provide you with the service you are looking for. I just want to make sure that it is a good match all around.
A short answer…No.
The wedding celebrant provides for the wedding ceremony only. For the logistical elements of your wedding ceremony (chairs, flowers, catering, booking the wedding location, music, transport, photographer, wedding cake) I strongly recommend hiring a wedding planner.
You can find more information about this question in my blog article “does the wedding celebrant organises my wedding?”
